Adults love it.
McDonald’s is partnering with Crocs for a new happy meal that’s getting a lot of attention from adults — even though it’s supposedly aimed at kids.
Food news Instagram account @snackolator shared that the Crocs Happy Meal will include “Exclusive Croc Clips,” which are mini keychains in the shape of the iconic rubber bands.
The meal will come in a Croc-branded Happy Meal box, and the Crocs Clips come with their own packaging and themed stickers.
“These are currently in a handful of locations and have a total of 10 and each one comes in the cutest Crocs box,” the post read.
Although they clarified that “a big disclaimer that it’s possible that the models (and number) may vary in the US, but the Happy Meal is definitely coming to the US.”
Moms and dads and other adults in the comments section were excited to see the two brands come together — saying they can’t wait to get their hands on one of the unexpected combinations.
“Yes, yes. Do we know which countries yet?” asked an excited customer.
“When you get your extra crunchy coke, you can get a mini Croc on the side,” noted another.
“I know someone who will take happy snacks to get some Croc Keys,” someone wrote.
“I’m an adult who buys happy snacks,” one commented.
“I love it! I was hoping we would get these. It will go great with my Croc hand sanitizer holder from Bath and Body Works,” shared another.
However, others noted that McDonald’s failed to consider their main target – children.
“I would be sad as a kid to get this,” one person wrote. “I miss when they gave out actual toys like the arcade ones.”
“What the hell happened to the actual toys I got a lot of when I was younger,” remarked a Debbie Downer. “I really miss them – why do things have to keep going away and being replaced with rubbish.”
“This is just sad! Remember when Mickey Ds had cooler Happy Meal toys?” another remembered.
Crocs Happy Meal is currently available in a handful of international markets. It’s unclear exactly when the US debut will happen.
